More than 90,000 people are listed as missing under special circumstances. Among them are civilians, including children.

We received this information in February, in response to our enquiry to the Commissioner for Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances. The exact share of civilians and military personnel in this figure is not disclosed by the state for security reasons. We continue to work with government bodies to keep the issue of missing persons — civilians in particular — in focus.
