Working group on the release of Enerhodar nuclear workers and residents continues its work

At a regular meeting of the Working Group on the Release of Enerhodar Nuclear Workers and Residents on 9 April, we reviewed the outcomes of our advocacy visit to Vienna and discussed how to coordinate further efforts to free the civilian residents of Enerhodar — including Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) workers — whom Russia is holding illegally.

The meeting brought together representatives of the Enerhodar City Council, Energoatom, the Atomic Trade Union of Ukraine (Atomprofspilka), Truth Hounds, and DTEK Energo, as well as relatives of Enerhodar residents currently held in illegal detention.

We focused in particular on the results of the petition on the AVAAZ platform, which has already gathered 53,000 signatures. This is a significant show of international solidarity, helping to draw greater attention to the illegal imprisonment of ZNPP and DTEK workers and Enerhodar residents.

We also agreed on next steps to keep international attention on this issue and continue our joint work.

You can sign the petition via the link. Every signature helps us speak louder about those held illegally and demand their release. Link in the comments.
