The “Association of Relatives of Kremlin Political Prisoners” has submitted testimonies from 10 individuals regarding war crimes against the civilian population to the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine.

The documented violations concern breaches of fair trial guarantees, including the use of torture to obtain evidence, as well as the deportation of children. All of these crimes were committed in 2025 and documented within the framework of the documentation programme. The testimonies were submitted to the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine in compliance with the “do no harm” principle and confidentiality requirements.

The documentation of war crimes is carried out with the financial support of the Norwegian Helsinki Committee (NHC).
